My book Eon Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman is about a twelve-year-old boy named Eon who is training in hopes of becoming a Dragoneye. However, he is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl. Women are forbidden to become Dragoneyes, as they bring "corruption to the art an do not have the physical strength or depth of character needed to commune with an energy dragon," so Eon must train to become a man and not become a target.

Blogging Tips

Blogging Tip One is to allot time for at least one blog post per week. I chose this because I feel as if I can't exactly make to complete one blog post a day, so a blog post per week seems better to me as a blogger. The Second Blogging Tip is to be Factual, or don't make up stories for the sake of pleasing your readers. I chose this Blogging Tip because even though I do not make up stories for my audience, I have seen others doing it.

Where I would Travel

I would like to travel to Paris because I would like to see the Eiffel Tower and go through the entire city. I would love to meet new people there and go to different restaurants. The culture there is different that ours in some ways, but not all. I've heard a lot about Paris (more widely called the city of love) and I would love to explore it.

Where Do You See Yourself in 10 Years

My personal goals are to become a writer, but not before finding my voice and style, finding what suits me. I want to attend Nirthwested University and get a Masters Degree at the very least. I see myself as a writer, freshly graduated from university with a boyfriend, living in my own apartment. I want to dedicate my life to writing because I can get lost in the world I create. I can envision whatever comes to my mind and write however I feel or want to try. I would like to have my voice be heard as a writer, to make my mark on the world. I want to be known as the person who helps anyone I can. I would also like to become a singer if writing doesn't work. I'm certainly not undecided

About me

My name is Carla. I am 13 years old, an aspiring fictional writer, and plan to become a professional writer (see my Where You See Yourself page for more detail). My favorite subjects are Reading, Social Studies, and Science. My favorite things to do alone are listen to music, play video games, and write.

Blog 3: Theme     In Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen, the main character Sarah witnessed her mother leave and her father slowly turning into a beast, met a boy named Alan in a place called Not-a-Forest, and found out she has grandparents when her father tells her she has to go with them.     The theme of Beastkeeper  is don’t let love take control of your life, because you will–metaphorically–turn into a beast view yourself differently. In the text it said, “Through the toes of the socks, her feet looked wrong, too flat and human, no good for running or hunting,, no good for padding so as falling feathers through the crackling leaves.” This quote shows that after Sarah fell in love, she started to turn into a “beast,” looking at herself as a different person.
